A little history about Catherine Popesco and the company La vie Parisienne:
In a Basement of an Old Parisian workshop, molds & Stampings for jewelry were found by Catherine in their original form. The La Vie Parisienne collection originates in old Parisian workshops that were established over two-hundred years ago. Using the original molds that were created by the artists of the celebrated jewelry period from 1900 to 1930's. Treasures of the past rediscovered to begin a new journey.... The gold Metal is a 14 Karat Gold Plate and the Silver metal is made of "old silver" a traditional technique, laying sterling silver over a copper base.
All pieces travel to a workshop in a village located in central France. Each of the intricate processes are completed by hand! Soldering & stone setting these are all elements that contribute to the continuation of this historical art form.
